Chimney sweep services — Portland, OR

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final cost for your chimney service depends on a few specific factors. We look at the total height of the chimney stack, the level of creosote buildup inside the flue, and whether you have a standard masonry fireplace or a prefabricated metal insert. If there are structural blockages like nests or excessive debris that require extra labor, that will also adjust the estimate. We avoid hidden fees, but every setup is unique, so we evaluate the condition of your liner and firebox upon inspection.

About this service

Chimney sweep services are focused on keeping your fireplace and venting systems clean and functional. The main goal is to remove creosote, a sticky byproduct of burning wood that can catch fire if left to build up. Professionals also check for structural integrity and ensure the damper is operating correctly. If your fireplace is producing a lot of smoke or you have not had an inspection in over a year, it is time to schedule a professional cleaning.

Summer is the best time to inspect your chimney while the weather is clear. We can easily spot structural issues, loose mortar, or cap damage that might have gone unnoticed during the winter. Getting your chimney serviced now means you are fully prepared for the first cold snap of autumn. Give us a call to book your inspection.
